Technology Integration I watched the video, “Principal Kappy Cannon Fosters Technology Innovation and Teamwork,” and I thought this video was a great video on Technology Integration. Principal Cannon’s remark that no matter how much technology and gadgets there are the single most important piece of education is the relationship between the student and teacher was very moving. It was great to see technology being used to connect a second grade classroom in South Carolina with a classroom in Jordan. Watching this video I have learned that technology enhances the learning environment and that it is an important part of education today and tomorrow.
Technology Integration is an incredibly important issue in education. Students are incredibly connected and comfortable with technology. To educate today’s student it is imperative that you teach using Technology Integration. It is not only important to use technology to reach the technology savvy students, but also to teach technology to students who struggle with technology because these students will need technology to survive in this modern society. I will use Technology Integration as a teacher. When I am a teacher I would like to help my students feel comfortable using websites and resources like www.pbs.org and others. Also, I would like to partner with another classroom in the world like the students do at Principal Cannon’s school and teach the students how to use video conferencing. Technology Integration is so important and I will utilize it as a teacher.
